Define the Wire Grade and Weave Together

Crimped wire mesh is woven from wires formed with bends before weaving. The warp and weft interlace to create the screen openings; this construction differs from a welded grid. High carbon steel identifies this product's material family, but does not specify a steel grade, chemical composition or tensile strength. Define the required wire grade, mechanical properties and crimp pattern in the order so material selection and screen geometry can be reviewed together.

Screen Selection Checks

• Clear opening and wire diameter：Specify both dimensions in millimetres. Mesh count alone is insufficient to define the opening because the wire occupies part of each pitch. Use the catalog specification table as the starting point for the requested configuration.
• Screen geometry：Identify square or other required openings, the crimp pattern and the direction of material flow. Include an approved drawing or sample reference when replacing an existing screen.
• Panel and edge dimensions：State the finished width and length, dimensional basis, support arrangement and mounting details. If hooks or reinforced edges are needed, supply their drawing for feasibility and quotation review.
• Operating environment：Describe wet or dry service, feed size, impact, abrasion and any corrosive exposure. Material family alone does not establish corrosion resistance, operating limits or screen service life.
