Grain Screening, Sand Sifting and Garden Fencing
Start with the task the mesh must perform. For grain screening or sand sifting, identify the material, target separation, moisture conditions and supporting equipment. For a garden boundary, describe the opening, panel or roll dimensions, supports and fixings. These are listed application categories; food-contact suitability, screening capacity and fence performance require application-specific confirmation.

Pre-Crimped Construction and Zinc-Coated Steel
Specify the Weave and Coating Separately
Pre-crimping forms bends in the wires before they are woven together. The wires interlace at their crossings, unlike a welded mesh grid. Galvanized describes the zinc coating on the steel; it does not define the crimp pattern, opening size or finished mesh dimensions. Zinc coatings can protect steel through barrier and sacrificial action, while actual performance depends on the coating and exposure. This product's material family is hot-dip galvanized steel. Confirm the base-wire grade, galvanizing sequence and coating acceptance requirements in the order.
No chemical composition is declared for this product. Request the required base-wire designation and coating documentation; a galvanized finish does not identify a steel grade or establish a coating mass.
Four Checks Before Comparing Quotes
- Aperture and wire diameter：Give the clear opening and wire diameter in millimetres. State whether wire diameter refers to the base wire or the finished coated wire, and whether aperture is checked on the finished mesh. These dimensions define more than a mesh-count label alone.
- Crimp pattern and opening shape：Identify the required crimp construction and square or other specified opening. Use a drawing or sample reference where weave appearance, orientation or replacement fit matters; do not assume that every crimp style is available for every wire size.
- Galvanizing and inspection：Confirm whether coating is applied before or after weaving. Specify coating mass or thickness, the test method, sampling locations and acceptance limits where required. A silver-gray appearance alone cannot establish coating quality.
- Finished format and installation：Request the required roll, sheet or cut-panel format for feasibility review. Include width, length, edge details, quantity and the support or fixing arrangement. Confirm the agreed dimensions and tolerances before ordering.
Galvanized Crimped Mesh RFQ and Acceptance Checklist
Agree how the finished mesh will be specified and inspected. ISO 14315 provides a reference for industrial wire screen technical requirements and testing. ISO 9044 excludes pre-crimped screens and wire cloth coated after weaving; its woven-cloth tolerances should not be applied automatically here. Select the applicable standard and edition for the actual construction and intended use. The references are purchasing guidance, not a declaration of product conformity.
