Should I choose galvanized before welded (GBW) or galvanized after welded (GAW) panels?

Choose GBW when panels serve indoors or in dry, sheltered positions and budget matters: electro-galvanized wire gives a clean, smooth finish at the lowest cost. Choose our hot-dip GAW panels (SPU-WM-011) for outdoor, coastal or high-humidity exposure, where the heavier zinc coating also seals the weld points.

Will the weld points rust on GBW mesh panels?

Welding burns off the zinc at each intersection, so weld points are the natural weak spot. We limit burn-off with tightly controlled welding current and stable weld nuggets, and in dry indoor duty the panels perform reliably for years. For exposed installations we recommend GAW panels, or a zinc-rich touch-up on weld points after site cutting.

Can GBW panels be used outdoors, and how long will they last?

We position GBW for indoor, dry or semi-sheltered service such as partitions, display racks, decorative screens and cage interiors. Outdoors, service life depends heavily on climate: limited months in coastal air, several years in dry rural conditions. If outdoor life is critical, specify GAW hot-dip panels instead.

How do you verify the zinc coating so I know it is not under-spec?

Every wire bundle is measured with a magnetic coating-thickness gauge and the readings are logged per bundle. Actual coating values, weld shear checks and dimensional measurements can all be included in the pre-shipment inspection report tied to your order.

What panel sizes, MOQ and samples are available?

Standard panels are 1 m x 2 m and 4 ft x 8 ft, and we guillotine-cut to your exact length and width with flush trimmed edges. MOQ is one pallet per specification, and free 200 mm x 200 mm samples of standard specs ship within 1-2 days via DHL or FedEx.

Every specification in this family (2, 4 and 8 mesh) falls within the 1-50 mesh tolerance band shown below: wire diameter held within +/-0.013 mm and aperture within +/-3% of nominal. Weld intersections are additionally shear-tested per ASTM A185, and actual measured values can be listed in your pre-shipment inspection report.
