Carbon Steel Base & Zinc Route Traceability
Every panel in this family is low-carbon steel slit and stretched into diamond openings, then protected by one of two traceable zinc routes: hot-dip galvanizing after expansion per ASTM A123 seals every cut strand end and junction, while expansion from pre-galvanized (electro or hot-dip) sheet leaves cut edges bare. Each bundle is labeled by coating route, form, LWD x SWD and coating mass class, and coating certificates per ASTM A123 are available on request.
All batches are tested via handheld PM-I spectrometer before Tianjin Port export, guaranteeing material compliance.
Zinc Coating & Service Limits
- Coating Route:Hot-dip after expansion dips the finished mesh in molten zinc and seals every cut edge; pre-galvanized sheet is coated before slitting, so cut strand ends expose bare steel and need zinc-rich paint touch-up.
- Zinc Coating Mass:Electro pre-galvanized carries 10-30 g/m2 for indoor duty; hot-dip after expansion delivers 45-300+ g/m2 per ASTM A123 and ISO 1461 for outdoor and walkway service.
- Cut-Edge Protection:Only after-expansion hot-dip covers every strand end and junction, so it is the default route for outdoor panels where edge rust is a rejection risk.
- Service Limit:Zinc coatings degrade above about 200 C, so this family stays in walkway, guard and facade duty; for chloride-heavy or high-temperature environments, upgrade to 316 stainless expanded metal.
